I had booked a family vacation to Cuba over Christmas 2017. Paid Legendary Journeys by check because of their check discounts.

This was my third vacation with them so didn't see their closure coming. Bought insurance but am told by insurance company that the policy doesn't cover travel agent closing. Now yesterday got an email from LJ saying to go after the insurance company, report them to the BBB, report to FL, etc. Seems like they are trying to take the blame off themselves?

The owner has promised refunds to everyone after he sells the company assets but this new email sure makes it sound like that isn't going to happen. How is everyone else handling at this point?

Unsure what to do next. Seems like we all have grounds for a class action lawsuit...against both LJ and the insurance company!

Review about: Legendary Journeys Vacation Package Booking.

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

Monetary Loss: $10000.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I didn't like: Stole our money, Customer service.

Can't someone go in and close their business? They seem to continue to sell tickets and then cancel.

We were to go Sept. 2017.

What is going on. All these people are getting taken.

We were to do the land tour in Sept. It was cancelled due to the hurricane Irma.

LJ won't give us our money back or rebook us. Delta did give us our air miles back. Some of the people in our group got refunded the 2,000.00.LJ said their employees ran off with the money.

We heard they were closed, but not sure about any of this. Are we just our our $2,000.00eltbc@hbci.com

I initiated a claim with the insurance but of course told it wasn't covered. What documents did you file your claim?

I think I need to follow up on that. Also, the policy I received via LJ for the insurance didn't have their article "M" which talks about no coverage if tour agent goes out of business

Insurance wont cover it because the travel agency closed...one of the THINGS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE.

same here, I had check withdrawal was discount, first email I received said full refund by Dec. 31, 2017....received new email suggesting I call insurance company....they stated I can file a claim but it their policy that bankrupt company does not get me a refund........Class action does sound like one option......

What I found is when you call, the agent is reading from a script pg 12 para whatever and that's it.Insist you get a claim form to file so you have a paper trail not a phone conversation. Does ins cover since LJ did not have a US citizen accompany the travel group under new guidelines
